Noise Control

Impact & Airborne Noise Control – UNDERSTAND YOUR FUTURE CLIENTS

As a developer, you are most concerned with performance and cost. The goal is to match the system to the buyers expectations. Understanding those expectations and communicating to the designers a definition of the target audience is essential to a project. Doing that at the right price finishes the evaluation for the developer. The code calls for laboratory-tested floor and wall assemblies that meet a minimum of 50. Additionally, a developer is responsible for performing within 5 points of that code-compliant level in the field. This is a challenge and a large responsibility. Not meeting code with the system means added cost and delays in occupation. Changing at a late stage can mean redoing finishes. A developer needs to understand the floor and wall system performance before proceeding with bids.

KEENE has a library of tests over 400 strong. Some tests inform us of the subtle difference between one and two layers of gypsum board. Others show the differences between different brands of resilient channels, and between differently-spaced resilient channels. If we don’t have the test, many times we have provided proprietary tests on a specific assembly for large developers. This doesn’t happen every time, but it has been a part of some major projects throughout North America.

Innovative, economically-sensitive products are the KEENE specialty. For developers interested in performance and cost, KEENE is the answer.

Sounds good, doesn’t it?
