Quiet Qurl^® SS 55/025 is a 0.25 inch, random filament, corrugated, “U” Groove core sound control mat designed to limit impact noise between floors. It is produced from an extruded polymer matrix of tangled monofilaments. The monofilaments are heat welded at the junctions to form a resilient structure that absorbs noise when sandwiched in a ‘Mass/Spring/Mass’ building design. A rubber top is a modification to traditional entangled net materials, substituting the traditional separation fabric for a resilient layer. The rubber is heat laminated to the surface so that this all-in-one product can be installed in one step at the job site. Rubber sizes range from 1mm -
                                                 3mm.

The product allows the designer to add additional noise control to the system by increasing the thickness of the recycled rubber layer. Additional thicknesses of rubber reduce noise by as much as 2 decibels per millimeter.

Applications • Multi-Family Construction: Apartments and Condominiums • Up Scale development where noise is a premium concern. • With hard surfaces: concrete, stone, tile, vinyl & hardwood. • With underlayments such as: FIRM-FILL gypsum concretes, lightweight concrete,    mortar beds & plywood. • With many types of subfloors (with or without ceiling assemblies, many types of    wood structural joists & ceilings) & still achieve an IIC of 55 or greater. • To help achieve an STC level of 60 or greater with many types of subfloors.
