 Quiet Qurl® 65/075
 Quiet Qurl® 65/075 is a nominal 0.75-inch, random filament, cuspated geometric patterned core sound control mat designed to limit impact noise between floors. It is produced from an extruded polymer matrix of tangled monofilaments. The monofilaments are heat welded at the junctions to form a resilient structure that absorbs noise when sandwiched in a ‘Mass/Spring/Mass’ building design. The product is designed for retrofit of existing buildings where a ceiling assembly is not utilized. In critical areas of new concrete construction, 65/075 will add up to 35 extra IIC points. The extra thickness of Quiet Qurl® 65/075 provides extra airspace and additional resiliency for added sound control in difficult assemblies. In retrofit applications, Quiet Qurl® 65/075 can be used in a system with a leveling layer of 0.75” (2 cm) FIRM-FILL® gypsum concrete on the subfloor and a finish layer of the same on the top. The top finished FIRM-FILL® Gypsum Concrete must be a minimum 1.5” (4 cm), 3.4 metal lathe reinforced. In some applications, insulation board or an additional layer of Quiet Qurl® is added to create greater spacing or what is referred to as a “ceiling in a floor.” This is a CLASS A fire rated product.
