Keene Building Products QQ Step Soft products are installed under hard surfaces to minimize noise from passing from apartment to apartment. QQ Step Soft is a 100% recycled product that can be used directly under tile, engineered wood, and traditional hardwood; as well as vinyl plank used at Alexan Withers Preserve. In most high-rise concrete construction impact noise can be controlled with a one-layer system on the topside of the construction. QQ Step Soft has been tested to provide excellent noise control when used directly under tile applications or with an engineered wood. QQ Step Soft is controlled through a mass-spring-mass assembly, serving as a spring in the middle of the two. The softness of QQ Step Soft is engineered to provide the highest noise absorption while providing a solid surface for the hard surfaces above.
